Privacy policy

Claim Binder doesn't collect your data. Your claim stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, and PoshJosh LLC can't see it.

Who we are

Claim Binder is made by PoshJosh LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we"). This policy covers the Claim Binder iPhone app and this website.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you put into Claim Binder (photos, items, receipts, payments, documents, contacts, deadlines and voice notes) is stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is turned on for the app, it is also stored in your private iCloud account, which Apple runs under Apple's privacy policy. We don't run any servers that receive your claim, and we have no access to it.

The app has no sign-up or account with us, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We don't sell or share data with anyone, because we don't have it.

Permissions the app asks for

  • Camera, to photograph damage and scan receipts, checks and documents.
  • Photos, to import pictures and to find photos of your home from before the loss. This search runs on your iPhone; the photos you pick are copied into the claim, and your library isn't changed.
  • Location, only to record where a damage photo was taken, if you allow it.
  • Microphone and speech recognition, to record voice notes after calls and turn them into text on your iPhone. The app never records phone calls.
  • Face ID, to lock the app if you turn that on. Face ID is handled by iOS; the app never receives your face data.
  • Notifications, to remind you of deadlines you set. Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone.

You can change any of these in the iPhone Settings app. Text in receipts and documents is read on your iPhone, not sent anywhere.

Sharing you choose

If you invite someone to share an event, Apple's iCloud sharing gives that person access to the event's claims, photos and documents. Reports, backups and files you export or share go only where you send them. Before sharing, the app can cover card and account numbers it finds, but detection can miss numbers, so check the preview. Full backup files hold your original, uncovered records; keep them private and use the password option.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app checks with Apple whether the unlock was bought, and keeps a count of claims you've started in your iCloud so the free limit works after reinstalling.

Crash reports

If you turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's Analytics settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics that don't identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements.

Email to support

If you email us, we keep your message and email address only to answer you. Please don't send card numbers, account numbers or policy documents.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and its fonts are served from our own site. Our web host, Netlify, may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses for security and operations.

Children

Claim Binder is meant for adults managing insurance claims and isn't directed at children under 13.

Deleting your data

Delete claims inside the app, then delete the app. To remove its iCloud data, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, and manage storage for Claim Binder. We hold no copy to delete.

Changes and contact
